The reason for the name

The Garden.

The plants, the layout, the rhythm of the year — and the things to do, in order, to keep the garden the way the neighborhood knows it.

The garden plan

A hand-drawn planting plan, scaled at 1" = 10', with each shrub, rose, and clematis identified by species and cultivar. The plan reads like a key to the garden — when something needs replacing, the document tells you exactly what was there.
